A Normal DayOur class consists of students 2-3 years old. This is a full day program from 8:15-3:30 p.m. This group of learners will be encouraged to develop their independence through: washing of hands, selecting toys, putting away toys, and self-feeding. They will also be introduced to phonics, colors, numbers, nursery rhymes, finger plays and will be exposed to arts, sports, and music appreciation.
A normal day at New Life Academy’s Preschool starts with circle time, followed by going over the calendar and then singing the weather song. Next is snack time and then either phonics or math. Afterward, the students are allowed free play time before their Bible lesson. After the Bible lesson is either art, music, or a short cooking class. Lunch is at 11:30 followed by nap time. Once the children have time to wake up, they play outside or have a structured PE time to learn balance, movement skills, and to work together with others. The last hour of the day consists of nursery rhymes, story time, or free play before the students pack up to head home.
